Treeplanting shovels have to be tough—very tough.  They get pounded into the ground thousands of times each day, they are used for prying apart hard soil and rocks and they need to last a couple of seasons or more.  We take great care in the design and manufacturing of every shovel to ensure that it will withstand the rigors of planting as well as make your planting as efficient as possible.

Bushpro is the only company that has every component of there shovels made specifically for treeplanting. From handle to blade, all components are designed with strictly tree planting in mind and reinforced where other shovels fail.

Hiballer Stainless Steel (PC290)
This is Bushpro's most popular shovel and for good reason, not just for it's good looks. Made from 3mm thick steel, heat treated to Rockwell C 38-45. This shovel can be left as is or can be easily modified to meet any tree planter's needs without compromising strength. Features include:

  • Length is easy to adjust and can be reduced to as short as 25.5".
  • Pointed tip making penetration easier.
  • Kickplates are located strictly on the planter side to make planting easier.
  • Optimal amount of crank and offset . This allows the handle to stay closer to the body making the shovel easier to use and safer.
  • The best warranty in the business. Warrantied against any defects for the life of the shovel (excludes wear).

  • Blade weight - 1.89 lbs
  • Blade length 9" x 4 1/2" wide
  • Shovel length from tip to top of handle - 37.5"
  • Minimum possible shovel length - 25.5"

Available in either stainless steel or carbon steel and can be interchanged with any of Bushpro's handles.

Speed Spade Stainless Steel (PC 270)

Back by popular demand for 2008 in stainless steel. This blade shares the same great features as our most popular shovel, the Hiballer stainless steel, but is slightly narrower for easy penetration. Specifications:

  • 3 7/8" wide tapering to 2 3/4"
  • weight 3 lbs 3 oz, can be reduced to as little as 2 lbs 11 oz with shortening of the shaft.
  • Shovel length from tip to top of handle - 37.5"
  • Minimum possible shovel length - 25.5"

Hiballer Carbon Steel (PC291)

Exactly the same as it's stainless steel brother but in carbon steel with a tough hammertone finish.
